We’re looking for a Website Designer who combines a strong eye for design with the technical skills to build, maintain, and improve client websites. You should be comfortable translating different brand identities and personalities into websites that look great, work smoothly, and support business goals.

This is a part-time, hybrid position with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role based on fit, performance, and agency growth.

About the Role

You’ll design and build websites primarily in Squarespace and WordPress, navigate and update existing Wix websites, and support ongoing website maintenance and SEO updates across client accounts.

Your work will range from full website builds and redesigns to creating landing pages, publishing blogs, and making routine content and design updates. You’ll collaborate with our creative, copywriting, and SEO teams to bring each client’s brand to life and create a clear, engaging experience for visitors.

This role combines remote work with occasional in-person team meetings and collaboration in Columbus. Candidates must be located in the Columbus area.

  • Upload, format, and publish blog posts, including images, links, headings, and calls to action.

  • Perform routine SEO website updates, including page titles, meta descriptions, heading structure, image alt text, internal links, and URL redirects.

  • Translate brand guidelines, visual identities, and brand personalities into cohesive website designs.

  • Improve website navigation, page layouts, and calls to action to support usability and conversions.

  • Maintain existing websites and troubleshoot common layout, formatting, and functionality issues.

  • Check websites across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices before publishing.

  • Collaborate with our team to implement client feedback and keep projects moving on schedule.

  • Manage multiple client projects with attention to detail, deadlines, and quality.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience designing and building websites in both Squarespace and WordPress.

  • Working knowledge of Wix, including editing pages and managing existing content.

  • A portfolio showing strong visual design, responsive layouts, and work across different brands.

  • Understanding of website usability, mobile responsiveness, and basic accessibility practices.

  • Familiarity with on-page SEO and the ability to implement updates accurately.

  • Ability to work within established brand guidelines and adapt your design approach to each client.

  • Strong organization, communication, and project management skills.

  • Comfortable working independently and collaborating with a creative team.

  • Located in the Columbus, OH area and available for occasional in-person meetings.

Relevant experience and a strong portfolio matter more to us than a specific degree.

  • Basic HTML and CSS knowledge.

  • Experience with WordPress themes, page builders, plugins, and routine maintenance.

  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and website performance tools.

  • Experience designing with conversions and lead generation in mind.
